Scenic Charter Flights take between 30 minutes and 2 hours. They range in price from $110 (pilot plus one person aircraft) up to $820 (pilot and up to 3 people per aircraft). Popular are charter joyflights for locals over their own homes with photo opportunities.

Trial Introductory Flight - TIF - only $110.00


A Trial Introductory Flight is a prelude to flying training and allows you to 'try before you buy'. Many clients who wish to undertake a joy flight elect to actually undertake a TIF instead. Why? A TIF permits you to do the flying.

A TIF begins with a briefing by your instructor on what to expect during the flight and how to control the airplane.

The flight will take place in the local area during which time you will experience around 30 minutes of 'hands on' flying. The training aircraft is fitted with dual controls and upon completion your instructor will de-brief you and enter this first flight into your log book.

If you are choosing a flying school, we recommend you fly with a number of schools in a TIF. They are not too expensive; you will build a little experience and you may log the hours. Best of all, however, you will be able to compare the schools you are considering. We invite you to fly with us first!

Yerranderie Ghost Town


Yerranderie Ghost Town is an Historic Silver Mining Ghost Town. Situated 120 kilometres (2 hours) South east of Oberon/Colong Stock Route, surrounded by picturesque Blue Mountains and Kanangra Boyd National Parks. It is the perfect wilderness escape!

By vehicle to Yerranderie takes 5-6 hours via Oberon (the closest town by road) and 4WD is recommended. Curtis Aviation is the only approved operator to fly in and out of this magnificent former silver mining town, and will take only 20 minutes by air from Camden.

Activities include bushwalking, photography, historical site seeing, native wildlife appreciation, 4WD touring and relaxing. We also offer Accommodation at the Miner's Cottage, the Old Post Office and the camping ground.

We take many bushwalkers, day-trip sightseers and overnighters to the village.

Flights to Yerranderie are $250 for one person plus the pilot or $350 for up to 3 persons in the aircraft plus the pilot.  The weight restriction is 75kg + 15kg baggage = 90kg per person.  These rates are each way, for return trips you need to double it.
