Why Fly With Curtis Aviation

Put simply, flying Curtis Aviation is lots of fun. We will make your flying much more interesting and challenging than a regular flying training organisation.

Whilst you are working to a CASA approved syllabus, we will maybe incorporate bush strip training, aerobatics or night flying into your course.

Your first flights will be in tailwheel aircraft. This is how the early aviators learned to fly. You will learn to fly 'stick and rudder' with 'power and attitudes', and this will give you a lifelong grounding in the skills required to fly all aircraft that traditional nosewheel trainers do not.

Our Instructors are career instructors, not pilots on a stepping stone to the airlines. We instruct because we love instructing. We love passing on our skills to other pilots. We are not building hours to obtain an airline position. Our enthusiasm for flying is boundless and we hope you bring your passion for aviation to us so we may share the fun of flying together.

Our Aircraft are always hangared and enjoy 1st Class Maintenance. This means when you book a flight with your instructor or wish to take your friends flying the aircraft is always:

* immaculately presented
* starts first time, every time.

Whilst our rates are not the cheapest rates in Australia, when it comes to aviation, you do not necessarily wish to be flying an aircraft that undergoes the cheapest maintenance. We recommend you personally inspect our aircraft as well as those of other operators to see the difference for yourself.
